Susan Sheehan

Susan qualified from London South Bank University as an RGN in 2003 with a BSc (Hons) in General Nursing. She has worked as a Clinical Nurse Manager in London in medical, surgical settings and Cardiac HDU.

She returned to Ireland in 2007 and continued to work within the speciality of cardiology and has over 10 years’ experience in Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories and Urgent Cardiac Care. In 2015, Susan completed a Diploma in Health Services Management.

She has a keen interest in employee health & wellbeing, health promotion and education within the workplace. She joined Cognate Health in 2017 as an Occupational Health Nurse and recently completed a MSc in Occupational Health and Safety from University College Cork.

 

Clinical Support OHA

Patricia Lang

Patricia has worked in Occupational Health for more than 30 years, providing OH services to both private and public sectors.

She has experience working with large manufacturing organizations including pharmaceutical sites and within health care providers settings, having been involved in setting up OH departments and services as well as managing OH teams in both Ireland and the UK.

Patricia’s general nurse training was in Royal City of Dublin Hospital and attended Royal College of Nursing, London for her Occupational Health Nurse qualification.

Currently Patricia is employed as Cognate Health Clinical support OHA; with managerial responsibility for a team of 13 OHA’s since 2021.

Occupational Health Nurse

Ciara Murphy

Ciara Murphy is a dedicated nurse with a BSc in General Nursing from University College Cork. She began her career at Bon Secours Hospital, gaining experience in pre and post operative surgical care for one year. She then spent four years in the Cardiology /Critical Care Unit at Mater Private Hospital, managing various cardiac conditions, respiratory and medical conditions and cardiac monitoring.

Currently, Ciara is in her final year of a Master’s in Occupational Health in University College Cork. In 2023 she joined Cognate Health.
