COGNATE HEALTH BECOMES FIRST1 IRISH OWNED OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH COMPANY IN IRELAND TO BE RECOMMENDED FOR ISO27001 CERTIFICATION
The ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Management System provides requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS). Cognate Health have worked through the planning and implementation of the system over the past 12 months. A two-stage audit of the offices took place in late 2018 and in January 2019 and recommended Cognate Health for certification.
ISO 27001 can provide a basis for evidence of compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which is mandatory to all EU Member States and has significant implications for businesses operating within the EU market.
