WHAT IS DAYONE+?

DayOne+ is a dedicated remote case management system for occupational health. Early absence occupational health support has been proven to support employees back to work quicker.

WHAT MAKES IT SO DIFFERENT?

We are the only occupational health specialists in Ireland offering an early intervention service from day one of absence.

WHY WOULD MY BUSINESS NEED IT?

An estimated 11 million days are lost through absenteeism every year at a cost of €1.5bn to the Irish economy*. Don’t be part of this statistic. Early intervention on sickness absence is key in supporting employees back to work quickly and safely, ensuring the best outcome for both the worker and the employer.

DayOne+ assists businesses in their duty of care to employees, with remote access to expert clinical advice from dedicated occupational health practitioners.

It can be used to support employees who are absent back to the workplace as effectively and efficiently as possible, while also ensuring they are cared for.

WHAT DO YOU TREAT?

The main reported causes of short-term absences from the workplace are;

  • Gastrointestinal problems
  • Cold, cough, flu
  • Musculoskeletal problems
  • Mental health problems

Typically, musculoskeletal and mental health problems take the longest amount of time for return to the workplace.

DayOne+ can help your employees with any of the above causes, and more, in order to ensure they are fit, healthy and back to work as soon as possible.

WILL IT HELP MY BUSINESS DURING THE CURRENT COVID-19 SITUATION?

Cognate Health is assisting clients in fulfilling Return to Work Safely obligations including the review of completed Pre-Return-To- Work Questionnaires advice on appropriate return to work protocols as required. We also provide a direct escalation pathway to DayOne+ Case Management Service should this become a requirement.

The service can remotely assess employees who have been in self-isolation and need advice prior to returning to work. It will also advise employers on the necessary steps they can take if an employee is suffering from COVID-like symptoms such as a fever, cough or respiratory difficulties.

HOW THE DAYONE+ EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICE WORK?

Early appropriate return to work is beneficial for employee health and wellbeing and our DayOne+ service can help from day one, assisting with the Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), Physiotherapy etc. After the absentee employee calls their line manager / HR on day one of absence, there is a simple four step process.
